24 minutes

Today I ran for 24 minutes straight and according to my stats, I averaged a 10.5 min / mil. Giddy up!!

Enchiladas

J and I have perfected a recipe from a magazine (well, really J b/c all I've done is advise from the peanut gallery)

We had it for the second time tonight. Key upgrades were GROUND CHICKEN and CHUNKY PACE SALSA. Its really tasty, easy to make and makes a lot of leftovers. Try it out :)

My goal was less than 40 and in the past couple of weeks, I was running 12 min / miles...so I did it faster than I thought. And with a 2 minute walk at the half-way point. I am already looking forward to the next race!

I am about to go run a 5K. This should be interesting...

Its drizzly and windy. I've been up since 5:30am. The run starts at 8:30. I had a good breakfast. I am drinking coffee.

Go to Target and buy some Tim Tams!! These are the most popular cookies outside the US and Pepperidge is now distributing them. They are AWESOME.

The old fashioned way..

Tonight I've spent about an hour surfing facebook. It made me wonder what the purpose of having a networking page is. The obvious answer I would give anybody is to get in touch with friends.

However, if I analyze the time I actually spend on facebook, its to snoop around (plus the mild obsession of having lots of friends). I enjoy the "Status" updates, but even better are those people who don't lock their page. I don't need to be "friends" with them to see what they are up to.

The weird thing is that these are people I haven't seen in over 10+ years. Why do I care?? I truly don't know...maybe just the "Big Brother" effect - its fun to sneak a peek? Perhaps to see how I compare to others? Interesting thoughts.

I really started wondering do these internet sites take away the fun of running into an old friend in a store and catching up the old-fashioned way, which is talking?

For now, I will keep my facebook page (its super private to keep away snoopers) to stay in touch with those old friends, and try to spend less time surfing, with more time in real life.

YAY Phillies

Well, its old news now, but the Phillies won the World Series. It was awesome. Here's a pic of me meeting my family at Game 4 (incredible experience).
